Sinikka Mondini

Senior Researcher

Crack researcher. Expert opportunity finder. Creator of results.

Sinikka conducts media research, identifies awards and recognition that let clients’ executives and organizational accomplishments shine, cultivates and develops speaking opportunities, and keeps an eagle eye out for media coverage and news of interest by day and by night.

During her 20 years in private, public sector and nonprofit communications, Sinikka has put her research, writing and media-pitching skills to work for social marketing and public awareness campaigns in the education, government and technology spheres. Like all her JR Communications colleagues, Sinikka delights in helping clients tell their story artfully, clearly and powerfully.

Sinikka spent much of her early career designing and carrying out educational campaigns. Her greatest inspiration: the opportunity to move people, especially kids and young adults, to aim higher and learn something new. Later, at Ketchum Worldwide in Washington, DC, she managed public awareness campaigns for government agencies, including community outreach, media relations and planning.

Sinikka has also partnered with notable telecom companies and the Wireless Foundation to create successful media, analyst relations and leadership positioning campaigns with a focus on the government space.

A native of Minnesota, Sinikka earned a bachelor’s degree in public communications with a minor in women’s studies from American University in Washington, DC.

When she’s not serving as JR Communications’ MVUP (most valuable utility player), she is cheering at her son’s soccer games and daughter’s gymnastics meets or knitting, stamping, and decorating her way to Pinterest fame.
