Kimberly Dorsey Bronow

Senior Strategist and Content Creator

Big picture strategist. Content developer. Detailed thinker.

KB-newinterior

Kimberly strikes the right balance of creativity, big-picture thinking and attention to detail in all she does. A self-described planning junkie, she excels in thinking through communications efforts of all shapes and sizes from beginning to end, identifying opportunities and potential glitches and pitfalls, and charting a course to results that surpass clients’ expectations.

A seasoned and accomplished writer who genuinely loves to write, Kimberly conveys clients’ key messages while telling their stories in compelling ways. She is as comfortable writing op-eds, speeches and long-form content as she is crafting press releases, web copy and social media posts.

If there’s a story that needs to be told, she’s like a dog seeking a bone. Kimberly finds just the right angle to catch the right reporter’s eyes and won’t stop pitching until she gets the results she’s after. But she’s no flack. Rather, she has earned journalists’ praise as a responsive, valued resource whether she’s pitching on the local, regional or national scene. Kimberly has 30 years of agency and client-side experience in for-profit, nonprofit and agency settings. Her industry expertise includes health and wellness, science and technology, and education.

Early in her career, after earning her chops at IBM and an international PR firm, Kimberly helped build the communications functions for several industry-leading biotechnology companies on the West Coast, including Amgen where she was hired to help launch a blockbuster drug. Over the years, she’s provided PR direction and support for local and national nonprofits such as United Way and Junior Achievement, public-sector organizations including the Department of Defense, startups, and multinational concerns such as Pfizer Animal Health, as well as a variety of associations and small businesses.

Kimberly serves on the board of the Howard County Conservancy and is a Maryland Master Naturalist. Her University of Maryland undergraduate studies focused on science and communications, and she holds a master’s degree in Transformative Leadership and Social Change from Maryland University of Integrative Health.

When she’s not in the writing zone, Kimberly is out walking in the woods, photographing nature through the seasons, cooking or catching a movie.
